Harley Quinn's First Appearance is a bit unique in the fact that she first appeared on TV's Batman: The Animated Series episode number 8 “Joker's Favor” which aired on September 11th, 1992.
Later, Harley Quinn made her comic debut in The Batman Adventures #12 “Batgirl: Day One” published in September 1993. In this issue, Barbara Gordon don's a Batgirl costume for a party. Little did she know that the party would be crashed by Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman.
This has quickly become a sought after key issue from the early nineties with prices steadily increasing. If you are interested in getting this issue, I would not recommend waiting. Here are just a few deals quickly about to end.

Harley Quinn's First Appearance in Continuity
Batman Adventure comics and stories were considered outside the main DC continuity, so Harley wasn't officially a part of the main universe until the release of the graphic novel Batman: Harley Quinn in 1999. This is a stunning cover with a nice black gloss finish that looks great if you get it in top condition. Go for the copies that don't look read. You can usually tell by the crease caused near the left binding caused by turning the cover over to read the page.
DC reprinted this graphic novel in 2015 with the newer DC logo and Pink Harley Quinn lettering in a much different font. You can see what it looks like and even buy a reader's copy here. If you want the 1999 original printing, check out these deals.

- “I'd just to like to say, if there were no Batman, there'd be no Joker and I never woulda met my Puddin!! Thank you, Batman!”
- “Oh, come on, Puddin'! Don't you wanna rev up your “Harley”? Vroom vroom!”
- “I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and makes a six-inch-diameter exit wound in you.”
