Baby Groot's First Brief Appearance
Also known as a Cameo Appearance, Baby Goot shows up in the very last panel of the 2015 Groot Solo series Vol 1, Issue Number 4. You can see that panel at the beginning of this article. This is an easy choice because their is only one cover. Last time I checked, you could still get these from Ebay. Grab them before they dry up. Also be sure to check your local comic book store because they may have a few copies laying around.

First Appearance of Baby Groot
Baby Groot's 1st Full Appearance is in Groot Vol 1, Issue 5. This gets a bit tricker because there is a monster variant cover for this issue and most of the time variant covers are harder to find and more valuable. Well, this isn't one of those times because Baby Groot is also on the regular cover looking ready to rumble. Keep in mind that the lower print of the Variant cover is still makes it worth picking up cheap. Just don't fall into the trap of buying it thinking it is going to be a better investment.

Honorable Mention
There are two other comics I think are worth looking at if you like Baby Groot.
Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2013) Scottie Young Variant
There was no limit to the number of copies a retailer could order, but the fact that it's one of the older covers to feature a the “dancing” version of Baby Groot, this is still a great cover to get for your personal collection or to trip to flip during the Baby Groot craze sweeping the internet. Even as I type this, all of the copies have disappeared from Ebay. I would definitely keep an eye out for this one.

Rocket & Groot #1 1 for 25 Retailer Incentive by Superlog
This is going to be a lower print run variant and the best part is this cover has Baby Groot in his little plant pot just like the original movie. Not to mention the artwork is a cool departure from the usual variant covers we've seen.

Dancing Baby Groot Funko Pop Bobble Head
Of course no self respecting Baby Groot fan would be complete without getting a Dancing Baby Groot Funko Pop Bobble Head. I may or may not have one myself…. Just saying.

I was already excited for the 2nd Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but this awesome teaser has me more pumped than ever. What do you think about Baby Groots first appearances? Are they keepers for your personal collection or should you buy and hold them until the movie comes out?
